A honeycomb panel has a hexagonal aluminium or PP core sandwiched between two thin skins. It weighs a fraction of a solid slab but holds its shape under load — long shelves don't sag, cabinet sides don't bow in a damp bathroom. Less raw material also means better dimensional stability and cheaper freight.
It is multi-layer by design: a copper undercoat, then nickel, then chrome, over a fully degreased and activated surface. Before release we inspect layer build-up, cross-cut adhesion, drying marks and salt-spray results on production samples. A cloudy or dull finish is rejected — it is never discounted.
Every finished faucet and shower column is water-tested at working pressure and air-tested at the seat before packing — no sampling shortcut at this step. Whole batches are then pulled for flow rate, open/close endurance, torque and salt-spray tests in the factory lab.
EU and UK showers are held to EN 1112 / EN 1113, North America requires 2.5 GPM compliance, and several Asian and Middle Eastern markets run free flow. We fit the restrictor that matches the destination — tell us the market and we will specify it.
Chrome, matte black, brushed nickel, brushed gold and gun metal run on the same lines with the same bath chemistry, and shades are matched against a control swatch under standard light. Reorders are checked against your first shipment before release.
Nine times in ten it is the aerator: mineral scale clogs the mesh, or no flow restrictor was fitted. Unscrew the aerator, soak it in white vinegar for half an hour, rinse and refit. If flow stays low, check the angle valve is fully open and measure supply pressure — 1 to 3 bar is normal for domestic use.
Dry the surface after each use with a soft cloth — that alone prevents most spotting. For built-up marks, wipe with white vinegar or a 1:1 vinegar-and-water mix and dry immediately. Never use steel wool, scouring powders or acid descalers on plated parts; they take the chromium layer with them.
Most of our heads use soft silicone nozzles — rub them with a finger to release the scale, or soak the head in vinegar for an hour. If the pattern stays uneven, the diverter or the flow restrictor may be fouled; send a photo and we will identify the part.
Honeycomb and plywood boards swell if water sits in a joint — wipe spills promptly and keep the silicone bead along the basin seam intact. Stiff hinges are usually mineral dust in the hardware; a dry silicone or PTFE spray restores smooth movement. Never use cooking oil on hinges; it turns gummy.
Because the same reference quoted at two volumes, two materials or two target markets is genuinely two different products. Copper and stainless move independently, plating and certification add cost, and freight follows the commodity market. A fixed list would mislead you — we would rather send a number that still holds when the order lands.
Four things: the model or reference, the material and finish (brass, 304 stainless, aluminium, ceramic), your target or annual quantity, and the destination market — that last one decides certification and packing. Send those and we will come back within 24–48 hours, FOB, CIF or DDP as you prefer.
Sample units are sold at cost so you can test finish and feel before committing. Mixed models can normally be consolidated into a single container; tell us your container plan and we will propose the most efficient mix — there is no need to fill a full container per SKU.
